Skillet Berry Crumble
Everyone needs a Skillet Berry Crumble recipe in their recipe box! It’s a dessert that gives you the freshness of raspberries and blackberries plus the crust or crumbles of a pie! The perfect warm dessert!
It all starts with the berries — 4 cups total of fresh berries. I used raspberries and blackberries but you can use whatever berries you have on hand.
I love cooking with a cast iron skillet. The flavor of the skillet gives your dish just a little boost. And a cast iron skillet is perfect for putting in the oven plus serving from.
When creating the crumble or the topping, you will use ingredients familiar to a crumble, flour, old-fashioned oats, sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon and cold unsalted butter.
Digging into this dessert is heavenly! I see putting this dessert in the middle of your table and handing out several spoons for all your guests to take a spoonful. Serve it with an after-dinner glass of wine or an aperitif. It’s wonderfully delicious warmed up too!
