Welcome to Kindly Sweet! My name is Chris and I’m so grateful you’re here!

Kindly Sweet.

I started creating food recipes, photographs, and videos back in 2013 under the name Burnt Macaroni and just recently changed the name to Kindly Sweet. I love creating recipes and stories around them but found myself drawn more toward baking these days.

You can still find me creating a yummy dinner recipe on another one of my sites called Our Dinner Stories. ODS is a great place to find what you are looking to make for dinner or to read stories created around some of our favorite meals.

I also love a good cheese board and for that, please visit A Cheese Board for all of your inspiration around cheese. Although you may find a cheese board pop-up on Kindly Sweet and Our Dinner Stories too!

Growing up an Irish girl from the Bronx, our cooking style was simple…meat and potatoes!   My Ukrainian grandmother added a little spice to our life but I must say, I grew to love Irish Stew and Irish Soda Bread!  You definitely have to check out my Grandmother’s Irish Soda Bread recipe. As I ventured into the world, my palette grew and my love for food and the experience of a great meal became my hobby.  I love that food is a great equalizer.  And nothing is better than good food, good conversation, and good friends!

As a television producer, I have met some incredible chefs who inspire me.  I had the distinct honor of meeting my greatest inspiration of all, Julia Child.  What a lovely woman!  I was hoping that someday her good cooking mo-jo would rub off on me.  Fingers crossed!   I thought you might enjoy this photo!  It makes me smile whenever I see it.

My dream of writing is also starting to come true.  I was so excited to be featured on “The Huffington Post” as part of Arianna Huffington’s Thrive series.   Here’s a look at my article “I Wanted to Be Successful and Raise my Kids”.

I am also a member of the Today Show Parenting Team!  I am honored to be part of this amazing group of parents.

You can also find some of my family recipes on the great family website, Kids Activities Blog!  I am honored to write and create recipes for this amazing family resource.  Here are just a few of those original recipes:

~One Pot Pizza Pasta

~Jelly Meatballs

~Ghoulash

~ Kids Apple Dump Cake

~ Homemade Pizza Balls

I hope my journey will teach you something new about baking and cooking.  And if you have any great cooking tips or secrets that I can use, please feel free to leave me a comment below.   You can always email me at [email protected].

Bon Appetite and Happy Baking!
