How to Make Ice Cream

  • Start by cutting up the strawberries. Add the chopped strawberries to a bowl with half the sugar. The sugar will melt into the strawberries. After 15 minutes, add to a food processor or blender and puree until smooth.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry puree with the heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, salt, and more sugar. Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Add to your ice cream maker and follow instructions. It usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Remove and add to an ice cream container or bread loaf pan. Keep in the freezer.

Notes

  • If you are going to store the ice cream in a bread loaf, put in the freezer for at least one hour before adding the ice cream to keep it cold.
  • You can make the dessert a bit chunkier by adding a few extra strawberries once it’s done in the ice cream maker.
  • Keep the ice cream in the freezer when not enjoying it — if you don’t finish it all in one serving:)
