Halloween Marshmallow Treats!

Burnt Macaroni Halloween treats - Chili 117I’m such a fan of Halloween…maybe it’s because October is one of my favorite months of the year.  Whatever the reason, I love decorating for the spookiest holiday of the year!  This is the first time we decided to have fun with marshmallows and create a few not-so-spooky Halloween characters.  Here’s what we came up with!

Burnt Macaroni Halloween treats - Chili 011aIt all starts with marshmallows and tons of candy.  But then again it wouldn’t be Halloween without candy.  Our first project was creating the witch.  We used chocolate chips, mini peanut butter cups, and Hershey’s Kisses!  In addition to the candy, we also used Oreo cookies, vanilla frosting and flaked coconut.

Next we made a marshmallow sprinkle treat!

Burnt Macaroni Halloween treats - Chili 115aUsing the vanilla frosting, cover the top of one end plus part of the rim.  Then place in a bowl of sprinkles to cover the frosting.

Burnt Macaroni Halloween treats - Chili 116aThese are just as fun to eat and provide your display with a lot of color and a delicious mouthful.  As you can see my kids enjoyed all of the treats but had more fun creating it.

Burnt Macaroni Halloween treats - Chili 183aWe hope your Halloween is filled with spooky treats and tons of fun!

Thanks to Taste of Home for the fun witches idea!
