Crockpot Trash

Are you a fan of game night? We love game night in my family and this Crockpot Trash is the perfect snack to get those competitive juices flowing!  Uno is one game that we play pretty regularly.  And I love that it’s pretty mobile — you never know when a game of Uno is going to break out in my house!


When I first made Aunt Kay’s Trash Mix, I used the traditional method in the oven. And it was perfect!

This time, I put those yummy ingredients (changing it up just a bit) in a crockpot  — and again it was perfect!

So if you are thinking about making this Crockpot Trash for your next game night or just for a family snack, here’s a video of how I did it.

Crockpot Trash

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups Cheez-Itz
  • 3 cups Cheerios
  • 5 cups Pretzel Sticks
  • 5 cups Wheat Chex
  • 3 sticks Unsalted Butter
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder

Directions:

  • Mix together all of the snack ingredients
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter
  • Whisk in the Worcestershire Sauce, Onion Powder, and Garlic Salt
  • Pour over snack ingredients
  • Set your Crockpot on low for 2 hours, mixing every 15 minutes
  • Let cool and serve
  • Store in plastic container or bag

There are so many ways to change up this Crockpot Trash recipe.  Add your favorite snack ingredients to make your own personal trash!

This is also the perfect starter for a dinner party, kids birthday party or a block party with your neighbors.
