Easy Fruit Salad

I am always looking for dishes that are perfect for a dinner party or a Sunday brunch. I really do believe the best thing about food is sharing it so I love finding something I can put in the back of my mind as a future dinner party dish!

This Easy Fruit Salad is perfect for Sunday brunch. It’s essentially 3 ingredients if you include an assortment of fruit as one.  Fruit always makes me happy.  It’s probably because the colors are so vibrant.  Is there anything more beautiful in the food world than fruit?

I also love the idea of growing fruit and veggies.  It’s really special to enjoy food that you can grow or even pick yourself!

I started with my fruit. I love the colors in strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries so I used these colors. I find raspberries a little tricky because they break up so easily if you over wash them.

These held up for me for this recipe!

Once you wash and dry your fruit, you add a tablespoon of sugar and squeeze half of a lemon on top — that’s it! It’s so simple.

I first tried using frozen blueberries but it didn’t work out as well as regular blueberries.  Don’t get me wrong, I love frozen blueberries and would highly recommend them.  But for this recipe, it’s best to use fresh blueberries.

All you do is mix this together and serve!

The citrus and sweetness really add an incredible flavor to your fruit. You are probably thinking, fruit doesn’t need a boost — no it probably doesn’t but it’s fun to try something new.

And this Easy Fruit Salad is fun for your spring or summer brunch!

  1. I love easy peasie fruit salad brunch ideas! I don’t add sugar to my fruit, but what I LOVE in fruit salad combos is freshly squeezed orange juice and a dash of cinnamon. Yum! Thanks for sharing such an easy delicious recipe. Cheers!
