Breakfast Bowl with Local Honey
I don’t know about you but this winter (or early spring) has been killing my head! If you suffer because of the tree pollen, I may have a solution for you. I make this Breakfast Bowl with Local Honey dish for breakfast as much as I can.
When I moved here to North Texas, everyone always told me that I should eat local honey to get rid of the sinus headaches and allergies.
“One teaspoon a day” is what they would tell me. The key is to find natural honey that is made from the pollen closest to your home.
I was so excited to find this local honey at a new Farmer’s Market that is open all year. Hopefully, this local honey will get me through this upcoming spring and year-round.
There are so many ways to use this honey — in salad dressing, in an afternoon cup of tea or in this Breakfast Bowl!
This bowl is made up of non-fat greek yogurt, blueberries, strawberries and protein & fiber-filled granola. Add a teaspoon of local honey on top and you are set.
You can add just about anything to this Breakfast Bowl. It’s something that is healthy and will help you get through these high pollen days!
This looks so healthy and delicious – a great way to start the day! My beekeeper friend just gave me a jar of fresh honey from her bees and I think I’ll make this!
