When it comes to an early winter meal, is there anything better than a bowl of stew by the fire? As the cool, crisp air makes its first appearance, my family sat down to enjoy a little Beef Stew & Bonfire!

Sometimes it doesn’t take much to recharge your batteries. A little trip to the lake or one to a beautiful cabin in the woods. My family recently took a pre-holiday and pre-winter trip to Broken Bow, Oklahoma for a getaway that was perfect for November.

Growing up, I didn’t have to look too hard for the beautiful fall weather sweeping into our neighborhood. It started in mid-September and never let up. I always enjoyed the crisp air blowing in my face and knocking down all the colored leaves around us. Now living in Texas, the colorful trees are a bit harder to find, especially in the early fall months. So it was a welcomed vision to see the gorgeous trees and colors on our trip.
