How to cut Butternut Squash
Butternut squash is really easy to cut up. And once you have mastered this skill, there are many wonderful ways to good this winter veggie including roasting it, pureeing it for soup or pasta or even putting it in bread or muffins.
Steps for cutting:
- Start by cutting both ends off the squash
- Cut the squash in half
- Then cut each half in half again
- Using an ice cream scooper, scoop out the seeds and inner flesh (it looks a lot like a pumpkin)
- Next, you will cut off the rind or skin
- Finally, you are free to cut the butternut squash into cubes
