Homemade Salsa
If there is any food that is extremely personal it’s salsa! Think about it — we all have our favorite kind of salsa, whether it’s spicy, chunky, creamy, made with cilantro — and so on. It’s like a fingerprint — everyone has a different taste. And that’s what I like about this Homemade Salsa recipe — it can be made with your personal taste in mind.
All you need are 6 ingredients and the rest is up to you.
The main ingredients of this Homemade Salsa recipe include tomatoes, jalapenos, and cilantro.
But I started with the red onion. This has to first get chopped up in the food processor. And honestly, a red onion is the perfect seasoning, especially if you are making salsa.
Then I added the tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, salt and lime juice.
I like my salsa several different ways … for this one I made it less chunky and more creamy. And because I used a full bunch of cilantro it has a beautifully fresh taste.
Truth be told, this was a food bucket list recipe for me! I have always wanted to make Homemade Salsa and I can’t believe how easy it was.
You will love this with chips or even with a piece of chicken or fish. It’s the perfect seasoning!

This recipe was inspired by Joanna Gaines. If you like it with more tomatoes, add one more. And if you like it spicy, go for the 2 jalapenos.
