Fettuccine Alfredo!
I’m calling today Pasta Friday! We all love pasta! It’s easy, filling and can be great comfort food. I have never made Fettuccine Alfredo before and now after making this, I can’t believe I haven’t done it sooner. It’s sooooo easy! I will warn you, this is not a recipe for someone on a diet — it’s filled with butter, cream and cheese! But it’s a great compliment to any kind of meat or fish and it’s delicious!
Again the ingredients are easy. All you need is butter, heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, Linquine pasta, and salt/pepper.
First grate your Parmesan cheese into 2 cups. Put one cup in a mixing bowl.
Warm up your butter and heavy cream. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Cook your Linquine in salt and olive oil. Follow instructions on cooking your pasta but slightly under-cook it. It will finish cooking when the butter/cream liquid is poured over it.
Go back to the mixing bowl where a cup of Parmesan cheese is waiting. Pour the melted butter/cream mixture over the cheese.
Then add your slightly under-cooked Linquine over the liquid mixture. And mix together.
Add the remaining cup of Parmesan cheese to the pasta. And mix all the way through.
Add a little extra pepper and garnish for taste and you have an easy Fettuccine Alfredo dish! Serve with garlic bread and a veggie and you have a complete meal. Or add chicken or fish and it makes a great side dish!
