An Autumn Cheese Board

Craving the fall weather? It doesn’t have to be fall to enjoy an Autumn Cheese Board. In fact, any of these cheese boards can be enjoyed all year round.

An Autumn Cheese Board

Any of my cheese boards can be enjoyed at any time but it’s fun to cater each one to a special time of the year. An Autumn Cheese Board represents fall in so many ways but especially with all the great fall colors included. And it wouldn’t be fall without a pumpkin. This really sets the tone for a nice fall board.

I will let you in on a secret. I make these delicious boards mostly for my family. So you don’t have to feel like you have a big event or party to make one of these boards. It’s perfect for one, two, or twenty people. And it’s nice to graze on boards all day.

What’s on this Board

  • Aged Gouda
  • Smoked Gouda
  • Blue Cheese
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Brie
  • Sausage
  • Olives
  • Pears
  • Apples
  • Oranges
  • Dried Apricots
  • Trail Mix
  • Pecans
  • Walnuts
  • Almonds
  • French Bread
  • Crackers

Start by adding the pumpkin or another fall decoration to the board. Next place each of the cheeses in its place. I like to add the cheese to the middle and build from there. Next are the meat and the olives (or anything you may have in a bowl). Then work the corners. Grapes work great in the corners so they can hang off the edges if you have a flat board. I then just fill in all of the holes to make the board complete.

Notes

  • If you are serving this board at a party, it’s a good idea to cut the brie before serving. It makes it so much easier for people to grab.
  • The brie also pairs well with the pear or the apples if you want to avoid crackers.
