Homemade Belgian Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3/4 cups Sugar
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 2 Eggs whites & yolks separated
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1 stick Butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • Strawberries
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Syrup

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar and baking powder
  2. In another bowl, lightly beat the yolks of the egg then add the milk, melted butter and vanilla extract and combine
  3. Stir the yolk mixture into the flour mixture
  4. Using a hand mixer, beat the whites of the eggs in a separate bowl. You will beat this until you start to see peaks form
  5. Fold the egg whites into the batter
  6. Let the batter sit for 10 minutes and pour into heated waffle iron
  7. Follow directions for your waffle maker, usually takes 2 minutes to cook
  8. Add syrup, strawberries and powdered sugar on top
  9. Serve
