Spicy Nuts!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mixed Raw Nuts
  • 1 egg white lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Dark Brown Sugar firmly packed
  • 1 tablespoon Sea Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Ginger

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
  3. Put 2 cups of nuts in a large bowl and add the egg white to coat the nuts
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the dark brown sugar, sea salt, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, cayenne pepper and ground ginger
  5. Add the spice mixture to the nuts and mix completely
  6. Spread out the nuts on your cookie sheet
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the nuts are toasted
  8. Let cool and separate the nuts before you serve

Recipe Notes

This recipe is adapted from one I found at Williams Sonoma. It originally called for maple bacon slices on top but it was better without. If you want to add the bacon, I used 4 slices coated with maple syrup -- bake in oven, cut up into smaller pieces and add to the finished nuts.
